Friends and memories for life in Tanzania

I have just returned home after an incredible 5 weeks spent in Tanzania. I spent my time with both the childcare and medical programmes and whist I could write a book about my trip, I do have a few highlights. Living and volunteering amongst the local people allowed me to immerse myself in the culture of Tanzania and get to know the amazing people who live there. I met so many inspirational people and I will cherish my memories from Tanzania for life.

Turtle volunteering in Madagascar - paradise!

I travelled to Madagascar to do the Turtle Volunteering Programme on the island paradise, Nosy Komba, for a week during September of 2023 with two close friends I know from school. Our experience was truly eye opening and was an extremely productive trip for all of us. Many lessons were learnt, and I genuinely believe we all grew as people despite being there for only a week.

A trip of a lifetime to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe

Through TMR I volunteered on the game reserve within Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. For me, this was a trip of a lifetime. The people I met were fabulous, the guides were amazing, and the wildlife was just indescribable. Even if you have travelled before, there is nothing that can compare to Africa. TMR offered help and support throughout the whole process and I will always be eternally grateful for them finding me this most incredible experience.

Making Artificial Reefs In Bali

  • Bali
  • November 2023
Where do I start with Bali, I came into this not really knowing what to expect but let me tell you, I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. I did marine conservation for 2 months which seems like a long time but time flies by to the point that 2 months is just not enough. Bali is a beautiful country with great people, amazing food, breathtaking views and many fun opportunities. I can’t recommend it enough.

A wildlife experience like no other in Namibia

Earlier this year, my friend and I had the pleasure of spending 3 weeks at the Wildlife sanctuary in Namibia. We saw plenty of animals, helped relocate rhinos, went on a horse sunset ride and more! If you’re considering Namibia as a part of your trip, don’t think twice! It really was one of the best experiences of my life that I would do over and over again.

Conserving Loggerhead sea turtles in Greece

I have just returned from Greece volunteering in the conservation of loggerhead sea turtles. I came across TMR and instantly fell in love with their efficiency to provide once in a lifetime travel experiences. I would 100% recommend, they’re a great way to visit somewhere new at a reasonable cost and meet new people - I will be booking future trips.

Marine and Coastal Conservation in Greece

I spent two weeks in Kefalonia, a greek island in the ionian sea, where I learned a lot about marine conservation, made amazing friends and saw some baby turtles hatch! Travelling and volunteering in Greece was a dream come true and I would absolutely recommend this programme to anyone thinking about it.

An action packed 2 week adventure exploring Bali

When I heard about this travel experience I knew this was something I was interested in. As a 17 year old going to the other side of the world, myself and family were slightly worried, but I had the most unforgettable time and met some amazing people along the way. From eating some amazing food, having my first surf lesson and visiting temples, I will never forget this once in a lifetime experience.

Teaching in a primary school in Tanzania

I recently travelled to Tanzania to volunteer on the teaching course. I had such an amazing time, I had to write all about it and share just some of my pictures from my time there. From the start to the end, I had the most incredible time volunteering within the government primary school in Moshi. I was also lucky enough to help on the childcare project as well. Having spent a week as a teaching volunteer, I was amazed by the beauty of Tanzania and I cannot wait to return to volunteer again. Wish I was there for at least another week!
