Travel essentials

Don’t forget that we have been to each and every project we provide, putting us in the unique position of being able to make personalised recommendations and to assist as much as needed.

We have tried to include as much information in the below pages about the more major elements of your trip, however, we are here to answer any questions, so if you do need anything else please contact us.

We are here to assist with all aspects of your trip, to ensure you are fully prepared for your upcoming travels. Below you will find detailed information relating to flights, travel insurance, fundraising and an online TEFL course for teachers.

Our dedicated and experienced team can provide you with an all-inclusive service, from providing advice and booking your flights, ensuring you are insured for the whole duration of your trip and to even assisting with raising vital funds to help pay towards your travels or to donate to the projects.

Travel insurance

Whether you are travelling for 1 week or 6 months, travel insurance is an essential and compulsory part of your adventure. So, if you are releasing baby turtles in Sri Lanka, teaching in Cambodia or tracking the Big Five in South Africa, having adequate insurance in place will help you to enjoy your travels.

Fundraising ideas

Although we do our best to keep our programme costs as low and as affordable as possible, when you add flights, travel insurance and spending money you may find that you need a little financial help. The money you and other volunteers pay for the programme goes towards the overall structure of the project and includes your accommodation, meals, airport transfers and support from our UK and local teams.
