Volunteering on my gap year in Vietnam & Bali
As a part of my gap year, I did childcare/teaching volunteering in Vietnam for 2 weeks and Bali for 3 weeks. It was one of the best experiences, I met so many new people, learnt so much and would 100% recommend it to anyone!

My journey started in Vietnam, from the minute I landed I felt welcomed, and the accommodation was great! In Vietnam I mostly volunteered in the disabled centre, whilst also going to teach a few days in the Ky Quang Pagoda and Thien Than.
Overall, the volunteering was totally out my comfort zone so I came away learning so much and it is an experience that I will never forget! I met so many amazing children and was so sad to leave. On the weekends I explored Vietnam with the other volunteers.
My next destination was Bali, where I took part in the Travel and Volunteer experience for 3 weeks. This involved exploring Bali for 7 days with my group and driver, then 2 weeks volunteering. I would recommend the travel and volunteer experience as it gives you the chance to explore Bali and volunteer in one. In Bali I met so many amazing people and got super attached to the children which made it so hard when it was time to say goodbye! The children were amazing and always smiling, during my whole time volunteering I never saw a sad face!
Overall, it was a trip of a lifetime! I got to experience different cultures in Vietnam and Bali whilst having the opportunity to help children less fortunate.
