Three weeks childcare
volunteering in
Nepal

I’ve grown in confidence and can’t wait for onward travels!

Having never travelled overseas alone before and wanting to volunteer at age 17 the opportunities were limited. I’m so pleased I found The Mighty Roar to help me with such an incredible journey. The advice was comprehensive and I was reassured by the information. But how would my three week adventure turn out even with a delayed flight and a missing bag?

"Thank you to The Mighty Roar for such an amazing experience, i’ve grown in confidence and can’t wait for onward travels!"

Luckily I was met on arrival and helped to be reunited with my bag a few hours later. Asim and his family were super hosts and I was soon introduced to other volunteers and the school I would be working in. The children were a joy from start to finish, I enjoyed setting and marking homework, playing with them and teaching them a little English. Smart Kids Kindergarten gave me the correct volunteer opportunity I was looking for.

I am looking forward to returning before too long! New friends made, The Chitwan Safari, visits to Thamel and various temples made for a real adventure. My top tips for Nepal are: Volunteer for Nepal! Get a local SIM card ASAP when arriving in country, Tourist visas are easy to get at the airport, take dollars and change to rupees when you arrive, take washing powder and baby wipes. Lastly just enjoy yourself!

Thank you to The Mighty Roar for such an amazing experience, i’ve grown in confidence and can’t wait for onward travels!
