Volunteering on Safari

All I can say is wow, wow wow!

First of all I have to start off with the UK office. I have never done voluntary work before, so I was really worried & scared. I had loads of questions, to which I could have read on the website, but I’m dyslexic so it was all too much for me.

For months before booking, I emailed Chris asking so many different things. Not only did he have an answer for every question, but he was extremely helpful giving me more details than I asked. I was never kept waiting for a reply and I also went and met him at his home office in Kent - which gave me the confidence to then book the trip. So Chris if your reading this thank you for being so patient with me.

"I can’t thank Ebin enough for making my holiday feel amazing and Chris in the UK for all his advise & help about the program. Many thanks to The Mighty Roar."

Now for the safari, well what can I say, but wow wow wow! I went for 2 weeks in October 2018, I think I would of liked at least one more week. We had seen all the animals except for cheetahs that were hiding in the shade. I would deffo recommend doing this and if you get the right bunch of people stay, you can have great fun - like I did.

As for the local team, they are a lovely bunch and so friendly. Ebin looked after us and he Is such a great guy and he always stopped so we could take lots of photos of the animals. He told us lots of information about each and every animal and took us to several hidden places to see even more animals.

It was nice seeing such lovely children and an eye opener. They would run up to you and hug you and want you to play with them. The kids are just as important and hopefully there will be a separate program just for the schools.

The accommodation is as pictured, not 5 star but more than adequate for volunteering. Our beds were made everyday and all of our washing was done whenever needed - something that I was not expecting, so that was a bonus.

I love Peter the dog, who is a very good guard dog. I bonded with him and I miss him. Please everyone look after him.

I would definitely recommend The Mighty Roar. Thank you Ebin for taking such good care of us all and making our stay so much fun. I will in the future do more voluntary work, because you just see and do so much more.

In our free time at the weekend it was lovely all of us there wanted to go to the beach hut. A beautiful place to stay If you don’t have any other plans.

I can’t thank Ebin enough for making my holiday feel amazing and Chris in the UK for all his advise & help about the program. Many thanks to The Mighty Roar.
