Hear all about my summer trip to conserve marine life in Greece!
I spent an incredible 2 weeks in Greece this summer with the aim of conserving the sea grass and sand dunes on the coast of Kefalonia! It was a very easy and straightforward application process with TMR that left me feeling well-informed and ready to take on whatever challenges lay ahead of me once I arrived in Greece!

When I first landed into Kefalonia, I was met by a lovely member of the local team and taken straight to the volunteer accommodation - around 45 minute drive away.
We were given a variety of tasks to do during the programme, including snorkel surveys, beach cleaning and drone surveys. And during my free time, me and my friends explored the island, experienced the local culture (and of course ice cream), relaxed on the beaches in Skala and often went wild turtle spotting!
It was an experience that I’ll never forget and will likely return to in the near future. I’ve made so many friends that I’m still in touch with even though I’m back home now!
