Conserving sea turtles and helping street dogs in Sri Lanka - what an amazing experience!
I went to Sri Lanka & did the turtle program. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff were so friendly and approachable. I loved the turtle program I managed to release baby turtles into the ocean on my 1st night.

The highlight of my experience was seeing a female lay eggs. I have seen this so many times on the TV but to witness this with my own eyes was just an experience I will never forget! Sri Lanka it's self is a such a beautiful country all the locals are welcoming and kind.
The accommodation was on the beach so in my free time I chilled out sunbathed and swam in the sea it was perfect. I even managed to spend some time with the dogs at the accommodation too which was great. The accommodation was perfect very clean and the beds were really comfortable.
All the other volunteers were lovely and friendly we would all play cards together which was great fun.
I would really recommend TMR they were great from start to finish. I am now looking into booking South Africa via TMR and bringing my husband with me next time.
