Returning To My Favourite
Teaching Project In
Bali

My home away from home

This is my second year in a row going back to The Might Roar project in Tianyar, Bali, which is a clear indication of how much I have loved it! When I arrived at camp, I was welcomed back by the incredible team. I chose to come to Bali because I was intrigued by their beautiful culture and scenery, it has not disappointed.

When I arrived at the airport, I had a very easy trip to camp with one of the local drivers picking a group of us up at the airport.  Camp is lovely, the accommodation is perfectly located 2 minutes from school. I can’t stress it enough how kind and the lovely the staff are.

"I will absolutely be coming back for the third time. "

On the programme, I’ve been going to school which has been the best experience ever, I will absolutely be coming back for the third time. The children and staff at Yayasan are incredible, smiling all day everyday.

I spend my free time at camp making lesson plans, swimming, and playing with the local children. I’ve made great friends who I’ve been travelling with on the weekends which has been perfect, sharing and coming up with ideas and places to go.

I went on the Exploring Bali weekend trip which was jam packed with activities, that was an amazing way the spend my birthday. My favourite memory (so far) has been the leaving ceremonies that the school put on for the volunteers.

The children and staff work so hard to prepare beautiful dances, songs and flower arrangements, truly an amazing way to be sent off.

Overall, the experience I’ve had has been second to none, the school and camp will always hold a very special place in my heart.
