If you’ve already signed up for one of our volunteer programmes in South Africa and would like to add this weekend trip, then you can simply request this within your My Trip account. Please note that places on our weekend trips are non-refundable and non-transferable.
We operate a number of amazing weekend trips every month that allow you to explore the country as a group with your new-found friends. The structured itinerary will allow you to make the most of your free time and we have maximised time to provide you with something different and exciting every day.
A member of our local team who knows the country inside out, will accompany you throughout the trip. Not only will you get to share all of their knowledge, but the trip will be even more enjoyable and safe.

A firm favourite amongst volunteers, the famed Garden Route offers a once in a lifetime South African adventure, combining nature and adventure in one epic road trip! From quirky beach-side towns to incredible safaris, stunning mountain ranges and wildlife-filled national parks this trip is one of our most varied and exciting.
Enjoy the scenery from the country roads as you take in all that this well-travelled route has to offer. Starting in the vibrant capital city of Cape town, you will head along the coast on a journey that will take you from the white sand beaches of Jeffrey’s bay, to the woodland trails of Tsitsikamma before heading inland to enjoy a wild safari in Addo national park, the prehistoric limestone caves in Cango and more.
As a group we will explore everything this incredible route has to offer, including:
- Experience a rush like no other if you dare to hang-out, jump from or zipline along one of the world’s highest bridge bungy spots.
- Soak in the picture-perfect views of Knysna lagoon's tranquil blue waters from the top of a sandstone cliff.
- Walk along shaded footpaths and over suspension bridges in the lush Tsitsikamma forest.
- Get beak to beak with the world’s biggest bird at an ostrich farm.
- Learn to surf or hang ten on the world famous Supertubes in Jeffreys Bay.
- Head deep underground to the illuminated wonder world of the Cango Caves.
- Observe orphaned African elephants at Buffelsdrift as they roam freely in their natural habitat.
- Roadtrip along Route 62's semi-desert country plains with quirky pitstops along the way.
- Spot some of Africa's Big Five on a 4x4 safari at Botlierskop Private Game Reserve.

If you’re looking for amazing wildlife opportunities, beautiful and unique landscapes and a chance to see Namibia’s tallest dune, then look no further! The Etosha & Swakopmund Adventure is a fantastic way to explore three of Namibia’s greatest highlights.
One of the best national parks in the world for Safari is Etosha. Everyone will venture out into Etosha National Park in a custom built safari vehicle, as we seek some of the 114 species of mammal, 350 species of bird and 110 species of reptile, you are set for an incredible experience like no other! This is your chance to encounter wild lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, eland and more – it’s impossible to mention them all!
As a group we will explore everything this Namibia has to offer, including:
- Explore the vast and unique landscapes in a custom built safari vehicle
- Head out on safari three times in the world famous Etosha National Park
- Spend your nights at the exclusive watering hole, waiting quietly for elephants and rhinos
